Business Visa for Canada
The three classes of Business Immigrants are:
1. Investors
2. Entrepreneurs
3. Self Employed
1. Investors
Applicant must:
i) have legally obtained net worth of at least CAD 800,000
ii) have either managed or controlled a percentage of equity of a qualifying business
for at least 2 years in the period beginning 5 years before the date of application or
managed a least 5 full-time job equivalents per year in a business for at least 2 years
in the period beginning 5 years before the date of application.
iii) make an investment of CAD 400,000 which is repaid with no interest after 5 years.
2. Entrepreneurs
Applicant must:
i) Have managed and controlled a percentage of equity of a qualifying business for at least 2 years in the period beginning 5 years
before the date of application.
ii) have a legally obtained networth of at least CAD 300,000
iii) Intend and be able to manage and control a percentage of equity of a qualifying Canadian business equal to or greater than
33 1/3 percent and create at least one full-time job equivalent for a period of one year within three years of arrival in Canada.
3. Self employed persons
Applicant must:
Have at least two years of one of the following types of experience in the period beginning five years before the date of application:
i) Self employment in cultural activities or athletics.
ii) Participation at a world-class level in cultural activities or athletic
iii) Farm management experience.
Self employed persons must have the ability to be self-employed in Canada and to make significant contributions
